We have been terribly busy with everything lately, but mostly with stuff like general summer ramblings, gardening, and this and that. Sooo the jist of it is that we have been terribly busy, but don't have a whole lot to tell from it. The trips we have been on have taken up most of our time, from visiting Grandma and Grandpa on Dad's side, to camp and then back to Grandma and Grandpa's. I babysat for 8 full days with only 2 and half days in between. That was an adventure, but once again...not much to tell that wasn't typical for babysitting.
Then off to Grandma and Grandpa's on Mama's side. We visited a couple different dinosaur museums on the way, and finally crashed once we got to our destination. Yay for vacation!!!!!!!!!
Dear readers,
Sorry it has been so long since last posted. Our life has been very busy these last many months. Mr. Blueberry Eye's horse Rebel is doing very well. He has gained wait, not to much, but just enough. He is happy in his new home and has been a great friend to Mr. Blueberry Eyes! School has been going very well! Nika has not had any "dramas" for a long while, and Duma is as naughty as ever. I don't think I will ever understand how one single kitty can be such a brat.
I have worked on a few projects this winter like the scarf above. It took me a while to finally work on knitting and mastering it before I could start it, but I finally did! I really enjoyed making it, and had fun with it.
Mr. Blueberry Eyes has been working on a new art project. He collects old and new pennies and creates fun pictures with them. The one below is only one of the many fun ideas he carries out. As you can see, he uses the differant shades of new and old pennies for defining the lines and shadows. He has done pictures of coffee mugs with steam streaming up out of the mug. He even did one of his violin and an out line of a true to size person. We have really been enjoying his creations.
Last fall I made some pumkin bars from a recipe a friend gave me. It turned out amazing and is a new family favorite. I haven't made any since, but hope to soon. They turned out really moist and yummy, something that doesn't usually happen when I make things. Needless to say, I usually burn the things I try to make, or else accidently put a wrong ingrediant it.
I have been playing my guitar quite a bit lately and have been really enjoying it. I have been working on a song I am working on in my drama class. It is coming slowly, but surely.
Nika is such a little snuggle bug. If she didn't look like a dog, I think some people would be fooled. She is so funny, and so very spoiled. I don't think that I have ever seen such funny little dog.

Well, that is all for today, I will try to post more soon. Tiarra
Recently, Mr. Blueberry Eyes got a new horse!

He is a really pretty horse, dark brown with with a black tail, mane, and stockings. Or, in other words, he is a bay. His name (Rebel) doesn't fit him at all. He is really sweet and not rebellious.
He was at the low end of the feeding order at his last home, so he is kinda skinny. We are working on getting him fattened up. So far he looking pretty good, much better than he looks in the picture.
Hello every one!! Sorry it has been so long since I last posted. We have been so busy settling in at home, after our busy, exciting, adventures summer. I will hopefully be posting more about our life now that school is underway and we are finally unpacked. Not that it took four weeks (the time between our last trip and now) to unpack. Enjoy!
We had so much fun! It was a great end to the 2012 adventures of my family. Although I had probably one of the best summers of my life, I still almost wish I don't have another one so positively filled with...with...with being busy. Wheeeeew! -TiarraBrookehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17142619952680196897noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078095936202108459.post-24028509384402387852012-08-26T19:19:00.000-07:002012-08-26T19:19:52.072-07:00"I'm Frolicking, I'm Frolicking"

For those of you who have seen the movie "Milo &Otis" You will probably get the significance in my title.

When I was little "Milo &Otis" was one of most favorite things to watch. The post I am doing today reminds me a lot of that movie (especially the "I'm Frolicking" part.)

We just got home from a two and a half week long trip to my great grandma's farm. Her cat ,Tabby, (the sister to our cat that I posted about a few posts back) had a litter of kittens about three weeks before we came. There had origanally been 5 kittens, but something happened to the fifth. We don't know what, but by the time we got there it was gone.
The mother cat brought them from the barn to the front porch when they were way too tiny to be that exposed to the big St. Benards. We moved them back from the porch to barn. That is where they stayed 'til we left, except of course when we brought them out to play with. Mother cat wasn't too good a mother. She wasn't horrible, but rather unexperienced. Afterall, this is her first litter. She hadn't kept their eyes clean so we had to do that. They loved it when we cleaned their eyes out with warm water and a paper towel. The kitten in the picture below loved the eye therapy the best. We had one that thought it could to without, but for the most part they liked it. The mother did feed them well, though. They are the fattest little things you ever did see.
We gave them all names almost right away. I think they seem to fit them also. The multi-colored one ( above and second to right, beneath) we named Marble. It fits her perfectly. The gray striped one (second to left) we named Mist. Although the way she runs is more like a jet stream, not a mist. The gray one with the orange dot on her head (farthest left) we named Dots. And the black and gray striped one (farthest right), Stripes. Although I have the hardest time in the world not calling him Tiger. I dont' really know why I just do.
We have been having so much fun in Canada. We came up over half of the way with my two best friends. Then we stayed two nights and a day with them. While we were there we got to here some wolves howling pretty close by and see a HUGE black bear. Then we left their house and traveled 9-10 hours on the Alaska Highway. While traviling we saw 6-7 moose and 5 bears. Oh, and 3 rusty barrels that we thought were grizzly bears. That night we met our friends and the next day we traveled the rest of the way to their house. I will tell you more another post, but for now I am DONE! ~ TiarraBrookehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17142619952680196897noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078095936202108459.post-39021208212819309142012-06-09T20:37:00.002-07:002012-06-09T20:37:46.911-07:00Blaaaaaaa, I Hate Being Sick. This is some home made croutons in the making.

Let me just say this post is not just about croutons. I am posting to complain about being SICK.
I woke up this morning with a HORRIBLE sour thought. I am not going to write much this time, but I need to vent my frustration. I has rained for DAYYYYYYYYYS:( Yes DAYS. I am so sick of rain, rain, rain, rain. It even snowed on the top of the mountain peek.

But, the good new is that... AAHHH, Grandma and Grandpa are visiting. Daddy is home for a week. We are getting new beds. And, We are having fun despite the rain and sickness.

Whew, I feel better having said all that. Hope you all have a nice day and aren't sick like me. We went to museums, interpretive centers, old ghost towns, caves, and such. I have quite a few pictures for you all, so sit back and ENJOY!

This is me looking for sapphires. We were given buckets of muddy gravel and strainers. We put about eight medium scoops of the gravel into the square strainers. We took the strainers to a trough of water and swished and swished. Then we came back to our table and dumped the big pieces of gravel that didn't get washed away, in the trough, onto the table. Then we looked for sapphires! When we found some we picked them out with tweezers and put them in our container. Finally, we took the sapphires into a building where they cleaned them and bagged them for us, then we took them HOME!
This is of me and one of my friends in a cave. Her face is colored in for her privacy.

My shoe was squeaking the whole time. It was quite funny, because it sounded so much like a bat. There were a nice amount of bats in there. Most of our group thought it was bats. It was rather funny!
That is it. I hope you enjoyed reading about our trip, because I enjoyed writing about it. I never thought I would start writing enough to make you guys feel like you were getting behind. I think I might be though. If you think I am writing to much you can tell me by writing me a comment. I don't want to bore you all because you can't seem to keep up. Today is just a bit cold, but nice and sunny. At least it is sunny:) I am glad that spring is finally here. We have had a pretty nice winter here, but spring always wonderful. No matter how springy the winter is. I guess I wouldn't call this winter springy even though it really didn't feel like winter. Thanks for checking in today. Last fall we had profetional pictures taken. Alomost the whole time Mr. Blueberry Eyes (far right) had to yawn. The potographer had a little bit of a hard time getting pictures of him not yawning. So finally suggested we pretend that we were yawning. So that is what we did. If you look carfully enough you might notice that we were only holding our mouth open while he is truly yawning.

I'm just now getting over the stomach flu. Ylaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkk. I'm glad I'm on the mend. Mama and Mr. Blueberry Eyes caught it first then it spread. I think we are all better now though.
It sure is a relief to be off of school.

Thanks for reading - Tiarra
Brookehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17142619952680196897noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078095936202108459.post-55742235045998222772011-10-17T12:58:00.000-07:002011-10-21T14:02:32.317-07:00Echoe's Favorite SingerSorry not to have written in a while.
I have been putting music on for Echoe (my parakeet) lately. She doesn't get as much attention as Mr. Blueberry Eye's parakeet, Scotch, does. That is because she is in my room and not the living room. So I put music on for her. She hadn't seemed to be very interested in any until I put on one of Michale Cards lullaby cds for her. Needless to say she loved it. She started dancing her little Echoe dance and chirping to her self. So I guess we have a common interest in our favorite singer. The pictures are of Echoe. The actual word echo is spelled e-c-h-o, but I thought Echoe was a little more unique, so that's how I spell it. If you check some earlier posts you will find some more pictures of her and some of Scotch. -Tiarra

I got her on January 5,2011

Brookehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17142619952680196897noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8078095936202108459.post-16301748484864065292011-07-11T08:46:00.000-07:002011-07-11T11:00:30.531-07:00My ChickensGood day to you all. How are you all doing today? I am here again to show more photos of my chickens. But, today I am showing individual portraits. Hope you enjoy! This is Willowen. She is my Silver Spangled Wiandotte. She came in the second batch of chickens that we got.

This is Muffle. She is my Black Silkie Bantam. We have have given her the title of the funniest looking chicken of them all. She is also pretty much our tamest chicken we have.

This is Spunk, my Ancona. She is my Salmon Favoralles. She is the same breed as Mr. Bluberry Eye's chicken, Spike, who is the rooster. Tuffle Hunter has feathers that buldge out making her look like she has very poofy cheeks.

This is Yks Gib. She is a Light Brahma, the same as my mom's chicken, Mable. Yks Gib's name is backwards for Big Sky. She and Mable are the hardest chickens of them all to recognize which one is which, but other than them they are all pretty easy to tell them apart. Hope to write a post showing you mama's chickens and Mr. Blueberry Eye's chickens later. Glad you enjoyed the tour of my chickens. That's it for now. Talk to you soon.
