Working on Brooke's New Button Box

This is my Papa, (The Wood Artist), and me working on my new button box. I hope it will be really pretty. I will put the picture of it on another post. But onto what we were doing for it. We had to cut certain pieces of woods into special shapes and sizes and lengths. And then we had to glue it together and nail it together with a air gun. Then we had to make a bottom for it. And like my other one, if you would like to make one, it can be any shape or size. You can get pieces of wood with knots in it. And if you don't know what knots are, just ask your parents. But anyway, you don't have to get pieces of wood with knots in it. You can router words on top of the lid and paint into the router. But its all up to your very own mind.

My Button Box

This is my button box I have made. I've decorated it with buttons as you can see. Now you can see that this is one of the places where all of my buttons went. As you can see I drew a few buttons that are green! Its very fun to make a button box. If you would like to make one, here's a few tips on it. Get a box. It can be any size. As you can see, I picked round for mine. But it can be an oval, a square, a hexagon, or any shape you might want. And decorate it with buttons or whatever you think might be creative.

A Woven Purse

This is the woven purse I made. On the other side it has a yellow star like it has a purple heart on the front. I crocheted the handle. and sewed the sides together with the same yarn I wove and crocheted. This is one of the handicraft stuff I have made for my Adventurer Honors. Some of my other posts like my sticker collection and my button collection and some of the other stuff I will put on posts are for my Adventurer Honors. But back to the purse. I finished it about last year. It takes a long time to make and a lot of hard work.

My Button Collection

This is my button collection. I have a button collection, too. There's all different colors, sizes and shapes of buttons. I used to have a LOT more buttons than I do now. But I decorated my button box with them and all kinds of other things. Some of the things you can use buttons for are decorating purses, put them on quilts. You can make cards and vases out of them. The vase I made out of them was a small glass jar with the label taken off of it. And then I decorated buttons all over it. (I'll put some of these pictures on another post.) You can decorate flowers pots with them, too.

My Sticker Collection

This is my sticker collection. I collect stickers of bunny rabbits, insects, Christmas stickers, flower stickers, all kinds of stickers. Its very fun to have a sticker collection. You can include stamps in it. But you don't have to. Some of them I get from my Grandma. Some of them I get from my Mommy. Some of them people from my church give to me. I use them to give to people and to put on envelopes when I write a letter, or even on the letter.
